Dr. Ajita Robinson, PhD, LCPC joins us today to talk about her new book The Gift of Grief which addresses different types of grief, how to honor our own grief, and how to respect those who have experienced loss. She shares the difficulty with loss in relationships through breakups, divorce, incarceration, and even death. She also shares how difficult grief can be when society deems you to be unworthy of grieving such as those who experience disenfranchised loss. Lastly, Dr. Robinson discussed why we grief for those who have hurt us, and how we can begin our healing journey.
